... that afternoon we did the tour of the Navarre Tower,.. a part of the wall around the city. This tower dates back to the 16th century and was built as an artillery emplacement to fortify the wall and city. Its walls are 7 metres thick and it hosted an upper and a lower layer of gun positions. As part of the 'show', the presenters were dressed in period costume and did a live firing display,.. with their muskets. Lots of fun and very interesting. ...

We woke up around 9 but were delayed a little since they were able to fit Katie in at the dentist. We hit the post office and got gas before heading out of town. Metz is about an hour and half away. It was a fairly easy drive. Driving into Metz was awesome. The roads here are still strange to me. Certain roads run through little squares in the town the don't seem to make sense but I guess when they built the city it did. Also, they would have medians ...

Upon arriving in Metz, we immediately walked towards the city center. There was a demonstration of some sort happening in the square outside of the church and parliament building in the square. There were also horses and tanks in the ...

So last night at about midnight thirty, I learned that there is a time change and that means I gained an hour of sleep. Best day ever! My iPad and laptop updated time, but my stupid **** phone didn't. That gave me quite a shocker this morning. Wow I feel like I'm starting to talk like an English person. That means I have been spending too much time with Ruby and Bobbie. My vocabulary is going to be English-fied after this week in England with Bobbie.

    So this morning ...

... taking pictures of it too.

Today we went to the park. Some of the guys play guitar. They know how to improvise! How cool is that. We sang while they played guitar. It was really quite fun. It was also really relaxing. Zak, Alex, and Yohan are all ridiculously amazing at playing guitar. I am so jealous. I remember when I tried to play, for like two days.

Bobbie and I went out for a dinner date. We went to this little restaurant that we went to before. I ...
