... with lots of open space, a lake upon which one can paddle a boat, sports areas and some children's playgrounds. Within the park are the Queen Mary's Gardens with its magnificent roses and other flowers. On the other side of the park is the London Zoo but we gave that a miss as we had already been to a zoo in Scotland. The park also contains the Open Air Theatre.

... Iceland was rather uneventful. We were welcomed in Iceland with gale force winds and pounding rain. We arrived at our accommodations at 12:30 am and it was still light!
In the morning, I made a quick trip to the airport to pick up my aunt Fran, who was flying in from Edmonton to join us for a week in Iceland. We have spent a few days here now and have had lots of fun exploring. I will post an update soon!
... from Julia: Luke's OCD organisational tendencies have already paid off with no line waiting for tickets as everything is pre-purchased and in the green folder! Woohoo!! For those not in the know, the green folder contains the spreadsheet print out, a plastic sheet for each day containing all required tickets, maps and confirmation sheets for the day. Nothing quite like trying not to look too smug when walking past lines of people waiting to buy their tickets. Should've pre-booked ...
