Today was a shopping day! We started with the H&M in Clichy. I bought a dress and a fancy top. We had subway for lunch then headed into central Paris. ... the food, and had no metro dramas getting there for once! And I have to report it is raining! Not hard - didn't even bother putting up umbrella on way back from metro to hotel, but maybe our luck weather-wise is getting slimmer. The cold temperature remains and I love it! Wearing my down jacket and very comfortable. John came to the restaurant, but he is not fully well - didn't eat much nor drink much...not like him. Hope he will be on for excursion ...

... since waking up dreaming I'd shaved off my eyebrows, we avoided Paris (and certain death) and arrived safely in the spectacular Versailles. The Versailles palace and gardens makes napoleons apartment look like Pizza Hut. This place was incredible. The gardens were immaculate and huge and the palace was spectacular.
