... creek which serves the town from the river, it's quite narrow in places and being tidal you can see a range, but it's low at the moment so we do breach in a few places.we are booked in for an hour and it's good fun, despite the odd tantrum....nuff said. Once done, we have a lunch in Talmont next to a lake but the sun is out and it's all very pleasant, the clouds are though beginning to come in ...

... the river, you could see this morning sea mist sitting over the river, very atmospheric. Back home and all in, that was a 9km round trip and a lovely start to the day. We have a breakfast, coffee, croissants, cereal and jam, then get some sandwiches made up and off we go on the bikes this time, back to the Plage du villion it's a pretty beach, with a steep top portion to the beach, then it shelves out quite shallow for a long way out. ...

After a really good night's sleep we find the shop on the site and get some breakfast there of croissants and bread and start to get ourselves ready to go. Their is a little info kiosk on the site and he hires the Mittons two extra bikes, and gives us instructions to cycle to Sable, off we go. ... at the bakers. After another 30 mins we stopped just south of Angers on a tributary of the Loire to et our lunch next to the river. Back in the car for the remaining 1.30 to get us down to Talmont, we arrived at 3pm and headed to the nearest Supermarche, this was a good size and we were able to get a good first shop done, beer, wine, cheese, meat for two nights and some vegetables and ...

... turned out to be a rather nice glass of chilled wine. Wandered onto the beach, laid our towel out like good old British people do and sat down to have a spot of lunch. Would have been rude not to have a paddle especially after coming all this way.
