    ... a lake to eat some bakery items we had purchased in Hoor. Our efforts were not very successful as lake access seemed to be restricted in the couple we tried to get to.
    We had all but given up when we found Mockensnas Herrgard, four kms off Highway 23 down a virtual one lane tarmac road.
    And it did lunch.
    And if had a spectacular lake view.
    And we had a change of plan and the bakery items got saved for dinner.

    ... our arrival he gave Helene the nickname “Queen of Sauce”. Two of our favorites were a lemon sauce for salmon and a basil sauce for meat and potatoes.

    We learned how to make many different dishes but perhaps the most scrumptious were the cardamom buns we made with Helene’s mom and Felicia. What a tasty baking lesson we got. Yum! We look forward to trying to make them when we get home and sharing a fika ...

    ... Folkhögskola (SVF) for the fall/winter term. It was a wonderful experience and a time I will never forget.

    We will be doing a figure 8 loop of parts of Sweden and Norway and to start we headed north towards Stockholm. It is over 600 kilometres from Malmo so we stopped for the night at Jonkoping on Lake Vattern.

    As we travel across Sweden on our train, it has started to snow. It is coming down sideways and is heavy at some points. We are cosy inside. I think we are the only ones excited by the glimpse of the snow out the windows... Half way to Malmo the snow is thicker and making the forests of Christmas trees look just perfect. It is exciting to see the first snow in our European holiday. The little villages along the way look cold and isolated though and I am unsure how they ...
