Great service from reception, clean and simple service with nearby eating places. I like the secure parking for the bike

      First snow

A travel blog entry by kazlang on Dec 10, 2014

As we travel across Sweden on our train, it has started to snow. It is coming down sideways and is heavy at some points. We are cosy inside. I think we are the only ones excited by the glimpse of the snow out the windows... Half way to Malmo the snow is thicker and making the forests of Christmas trees look just perfect. It is exciting to see the first snow in our European holiday. The little villages along the way look cold and isolated though and I am unsure how they ...

Thankfully Erik realized who I was in the email and put things in motion for us to attend the ...

      Hej hej,

Another up-date, this time about the Ice-hockey match I went to with some friends. Ice-hockey is one of the most important and well known sports in Sweden. It's also one of the most roughest sports I've ever seen. In my opinion I can't really have a blog about my adventures in Sweden without mentioning such an important cultural event.

One of the first things that stood out to me the most was that it is very similar to the rugby matches I went to ...

      ... words.

I do think that Dutch people have a better starting point in learning Swedish, and those studying English have an even better one. Swedish as a language is quite young compared to other languages. Basically the foundation is a combination of German and Dutch, French, English and Latin. As we all have some knowledge of German and French, and I do consider myself fluent in Dutch and English, it makes it easier to ...
