After sitting for a while I decided to go look in the church; Nim used to come very often when she lived in Paris so she stayed on the steps and wrote in her journal. Met in hotel lobby at 6:45. Weighed bags, then waited for buses to arrive. You wouldn't believe how well our driver Bob did in such a small space. Got on bus, drove down to Dover, saw the white cliffs as we were going through customs to board the ferry to France. It took 1.5 hours - white caps on the water and constant rain, mum wouldn't have liked it at all! When back on bus, drove to a service station, had a Bagette for lunch ...
