We reached Brisbane at 1735 hours. I had booked our Christchurch - Brisbane flight with the thought that arrival at 1735 hours would be a perfectly decent time. It was later that I realised that 1. Campervan rentals close by 1600 (2) It would take us about 2 hours to reach our resort which was some 60 kms south on the the Gold coast hinterland (3) the resort reception also closes by 1700! but would make us arrangements to enter our unit on our own ...

... tour from Johannesburg to Cape Town along the Garden Route. I will than spend 8 days in Cape Town before beginning a 53 day camping tour from Cape Town to Kenya ending in Nairobi. From Nairobi I will do a 14 day "Gorilla Express" tour to see obviously the gorillas before heading home via Johannesburg. The storm we saw begin at Moreton island quickly became a big storm that turned Brisbane into a Natural Disaster Zone!!! We're lucky we had Grant there as we were trapped there until the weather cleared up. We could have moved on but we still had so much to see, like Noosa, the Australia Zoo and the gold coast - and we couldnt see any of that atleast until the storms had eased up.
