... here was the parking, which was €1.00 for 4 hours. Dune du Pyla is the tallest sand dune in Europe, and overlooks both hinterland and the sea. We just sat at the top of the dune for a while and took it all in. Again, another place to bring the parents, maybe with a picnic and some nice Bordeaux wine! New Years night consisted of a quiet night in, as Jayden had to travel for an away game a couple of days later. Unfortunately, the UBB went down to Racing Metro ...

... rugby game, UBB vs Brives. The stadium was packed full of just under 29,000 people, people cheering and chanting, drums in the background. The atmosphere here was incredible, definitely a lot different to a ITM or Super Rugby game in New Zealand! UBB won the game 46-10! We walked around some more and bought some yarn for knitting and found a cute bakery where we ate pofertjes and spoortwaffel. ...

Ok, enough of aires we’re off to stay in a real campsite on the outskirts of Bordeaux for a few days. The rain has been pretty horrendous so we are hoping to see the sunshine a little further south…..Arrived at the site about 1pm and we were pleasantly surprised how nice it was for a city site and only 14 per night! On Monday we caught the tram into the city centre, this was also a bargain, an all ...

... going to the loo here & you wouldn't want to accidentally flush while you are sitting on it - who knows where you would end up! 8/10/2014 Wednesday It has been a long time travelling in the car day today! We went to Lascaux to see the paintings done in the caves that happened, I think 15 to 18 thousand years ago. It was going to be a long day as we had to go right across Dordogne to get there. When we set the gps gypsy said it would take 2 1/4 hours to get there ...
