Our check in and departure for Lyon with Transavia was amazingly simple with us rolling away from the gate a good 5 minutes early, a first for this trip!

The flight itself was uneventful arriving to a very chilly Lyon in the early afternoon. From the airport it was a quick change to the Lyon city bound train before springing the extra €30 for the express to our final destination of Geneva.

... historic town called Yvoire, located on Lac Léman. The heart of this little village was built in the middle ages and is absolutely gorgeous. Across the lake you can see Lausanne and Geneva in Switzerland. He took us to a beautiful restaurant on the lake where we had the local specialty, filet de perche (filets of a kind of fish). This was absolutely delicious, as is everything here lol.

So, after almost 36 hours of traveling, we finally made it to Grenoble. We were both pretty exhausted by now. The day is going to be a write off. By suppertime we w ere about dead on our feet. Which was a shame, because we found s great little restaurant just down the road. But we were both too tired to enjoy the meals (roasted duck breast with foi gras and pork mignon with broccoli mash).
