We arrived at Bergen op Zoom following a side channel with transit marks and found it was a box mooring. With our dinghy on the back this is a problem if no-one helps with the lines as we can't get off to tie the lines. There was a strong side wind and John just about got us in at first attempt before ST was caught with a gust and blown to a bad position. This morning we said goodbye to the Netherlands and hello to Belgium. We headed to a park in Antwerp called Middelheim. The park has about 200 sculptures that you can walk around... Just not on Mondays. Unfortunately today is Monday! We were quite gutted, as it was the only thing we really cared about seeing here in Antwerp. Today was relatively slow compared to other days. There is little to do in Brussels other than eat and drink so that is all we did today. We ate another waffle each, a cone of chips and our usual three course meal. Mark also drank a number of Trappist beers.

Yesterday (Monday 16th) we took the train to Bruges, after lunch in Brussels, had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon walking the historic streets, but finding time for Belgian waffles (with ice cream), Begian beer (on its own) and Belgian chocolate (in that order) before heading back to the ship - tired but extremely satified with a full day`s exploring.

But I have an apology to make to Antwerp. Sorry ...
