Hard to believe that after almost 12 weeks we were hitting the last destination....

We have now made it safely back to London. It is good to be back, but we also really miss our adventures! Here are some photos of bits of Rio whilst we think about some words in due course... if we have any time whilst packing up the flat.

... but I guess it's basically like a South African Cottage Pie. Only creamier and more delicious and with all sorts of choices of fillings. I had one with beef jerkey (dried meat) which is apparently the signature Brazilian escondidinho to have (highly recommended!). After filling our tummies with some great food and beer we then caught a local bus to the other end of town. ... genommen und mich dort in einem Hostel einquartiert, welches ich aus dem LonelyPlanet Fuehrer herausgesucht habe. Etwas muede vom Flug, da ich doch nicht wirklich schlafen konnte, bzw auch wegen der fuenf Stunden Zeutunterschied, habe ich nur eine Dusche genommen und bin dann sofort ins Bett gefallen.

Am naechsten Morgen dann habe ich beim Fruehstuecken den ersten waschechten Brasilianer kennengelernt - Isais, er war aus Minas Gerais und zu besuch in Rio - ...

... the police station we went to the most expensive mall in Rio. Obviously this is not where the people from the flavella shop or me! We were on the way to the botanical gardens when we were stopped by a downpour. Managed to catch a local bus back and now relaxing at hotel. Think it will be a quiet last night in Rio.
Hoping for some final sunshine to work on my tan on Copacabana beach tomorrow.

... de Ipanema y nada para comer. Eran ya las 3h y nada. Apenas coco, cerveza y agua. Terminamos por comer más en el centro, pastel frito, cochinha de pollo y guaraná. Viva a comida sana
