First on this trip, Angie and I had a few days to recover ( and defrost from the Canberra/Melbourne winter) in Paris with Kate. Alan still toughing it out at home for a couple of weeks as he has a concert to play. Flew to Lisbon for a great week there. What a fabulous city! So relaxed and laid back.....but I feel sorry for the older residents.....how on earth do they negotiate the hills in the centre of town. ...

... capture my interests...unless you class 2 pints for €2 as culture. We had booked a small villa at Galè on a complex called 'Villas Rufino', and I was very pleasantly surprised. I don't 'do' complexes at all, but Villas Rufino is well kept with manicured lawns and beautiful Flora, and each of the villas has a large terrace overlooking the pools and with incredible sea views. To Orbitur Quateira

A travel blog entry by thereays on Feb 03, 2014

... 300 miles, free motorway (almost) all of the way. At the Portuguese border, they have installed automatic Toll Machines for all non-Portuguese vehicles. What a cheek!

We arrive at Orbitur Quateira (N37 W4' 2" W8 5' 14"), it is an ACSI site, but, it is cheaper to use our Orbitur memebership card and we get ten nights for 100Euro.
The scooter is unloaded, with the assistance of Kathleen and a very friendly French couple.
