... about 8 miles away). We caught the bus for the bargain price of 3 euro each return and had a great day wandering through all the old streets and around the harbour area checking out all the yatchs and dodging the downpours.

Spent the evening catching up with all the family on facetime which was so lovely then an early night as we are on the road again tomorrow......

... t open until 2-00. So we sat in the small village square and had lunch in paradise. Amazing food under the late autumn sun which still retained some midday heat.

The wait for entry proved worthwhile. The Castle and Grounds were immaculately presented and whilst the Castle remains privately owned we were taken on a tour of the ground floor. Its layout very similar to ...

... serious 'museum fatigue' having pretty much tried to follow the sixty plus translations so it was time to leave.

Overall it was well worth a visit and we have come away knowing more than when we went which is always a bit of a bonus. They also had a small Cafe Rene set up inside the museum, although I am not sure whether that came before the TV show or whether this was the basis for the BBC sitcom.
