Our American friends joined us for dinner where we had oysters, palourdes, steak, kidneys, lotte with prawns, strawberries in balsamic, souffle of caramel. All this with a Bordeaux merlot and a cab franc from Loire. Very happy ...

We have three nights in a good B&B to explore the area. The old walled town has everything one needs, shops, shops, shops. We walked the ramparts and discovered that St Émilion was born here. Evening drinks and a cheap meal and early to bed. Lots to see ...
