What a day! After a 4.30 start our bus eventually turned up to take us up into the mountains.
At first the drive was fairly calm just occasionally dodging pilgrims as trekked towards the source of the four religious rivers. We stopped devpragay for the confluence. The two rivers, Alaknanda (holy one)and the Bhagirathi and together this becomes the Ganga.
We followed the Alkananda into the stunning scenery of Himalayas. The views were incredible, ...

As we hopped out of the car people came up and gave us flower lays and threw flowers upon us welcoming us into their beautiful village. The head of the village came and officially welcomed ...

... each given a red dot ......and welcomed with so much warmth and love. We then made the pilgrimage in a big line just like the congo line and weaved our way through the narrow path past their houses all the way to an area which had been specially decorated and set up for our arrival and here gorgeous Shanu awaited us along with his family. For Leah it was little love at first sight and an instant connection was made. As we took our seats and everyone ...

The Terraces, I term it as the crown of Kanatal. Best location, superb food, very courteous staff and nicely done up rooms. My kid was running fever for few hours, after tiring journey due to our
self-drive to Kanatal from Ahmedabad. The staff was concerned and
    provided all possible help.

Himalaya snow peaks from the room, chilling and gently winding climate, steep valley and no mobile ...
