After we left the monastery we retraced our steps and stopped at Asenovgrad Fortress, which perches dramatically in the mountains about 2km from the town. It turned out that I was the only guest who wanted to go to the monastery and fortress on Monday, so I had to pay a bit more than if there'd been more people, but it was worth it!

... ski school we got opportunity to eat in a few different places during lunch, around the Studenets area. And in the evenings we are again, unreal how much of an appetite skiing gives you. We did Gloria Mar on Sunday night, lovely grub, cocktails and free transport to and from hotel. We also found a lovely place called restaurant fis which had lovely food and wasn't too busy.
