It's still raining this morning. We are heading for Xanthi which is famous for it's old quarter, once wealthy from tobacco it boasts fine mansions and historic houses set in into the hill side on winding cobbled streets.
The rain is light until all of a sudden there is a torrential downpour, it's so heavy we are only able to manage a crawling speed, so we can see the road.

... we reached Pamporovo to start our ski trip! Saturday morning and we eagerly attended our first beginners ski lessons, at Malina ski school. This was a very well organised centre and our instructor on day one had great patience as we slid about like bambi on ice lol the first 2 hours seemed unlikely we would get it, but after lunch and a beer we had become naturals having learnt the snow plough to stop without falling lol so we attempted our first ...

... awesome). First day we were back on our learner slope from 2012 so Nik could see what stages we were all at. Then we were off. Our lessons were only for 2 hours each morning, but Nik insisted on coming with us to see how we went each afternoon when we wanted to do a run down a new slope. We go to Sofia, but decide to go somewhere on way last. And go to Chudnite mostove rock bridge. Huge and impressive. High more that 30 m. so you feel very small. I meet a friend from caving how made there a long zip line - more that 300 m. on almost ceiling of the bridge. But, you spend more time to get an audacity to start, that ride :)

From here to highway and after 200 km. we end a trip in Sofia
