Drinking and smoking
I have never been in a country where people drink and smoke that much! Bulgaria is amazing for its relation to alcohol and cigarettes. We arrived on Orthodox Easter Sunday, so most people had off and were celebrating one way or the other. The persons we saw were hanging out in small shops with 2,5 liter bottles of Bulgarian beer.

A day of R & R
A much appreciated day of R & R: I don't think that I can do much with this blog other than potentially incite a wee bit of jealousy, as today Tom and I did little else other than sit by a lovely pool, eat a very delicious lunch (for a total of approximately of $15 including drinks) and drink some lovely Bulgarian wine over a relaxing dinner. Oh, that and I had a massage from a middle aged Bulgarian man (who was very good at his job).
