      ... frog and birds.  Right now human activity is pretty quiet, being in between programs but it should pick up later in the month as we get more settled in. At the end of May, we will head north to Oregon to spend June and July mostly at the Ananda Laurelwood center where we actually are domiciled, ya know,  licenses, vehicles, insurance, etc.  Then will see what is right to do next.  And, no, we are not going to Alaska this ...

      We had a exciting conversation over cocktails telling them about our travels since our stop in February.

      ... We stop in a grassy field to take some pictures. You can see Cool in the background. Sheba is tired of photography. She almost closes her eyes while I am continue taking a thousand pictures. She is not amused. She wants to continue on the adventure! I can almost hear her, "Lady, I'm ready for more smells. Let's go!" She's such an awesome dog! :)

      Mileage; 13 miles Altitude Gain: ~2000 ft. Today was a tough day with water for first half of day, then none. Water purifying system sprung a leak and soaked my pack! Luckily my sleeping bag and tent were protected. Kyle and I started hiking alone. It seemed at different times of the day we felt more willing to lead or follow. I could see a battle within ourselves. Our bodies ached for rest but our determination and wills wouldn't let us. All in all it was a very difficult ...
