This week has been absolutely incredible. I am sure I have said this before but people tell you how amazing different places are but you can't quite believe it or imagine it until you actually see it. ... then got the last room at the Holiday Haus due to a last minute cancellation and a great PCT hiker price on our room. Then as we were getting back from Mammoth to Reds meadow there was an especially pleasant man on the free town shuttle with us who with we shared stories. ... of cute shops, restaurants and a big museum. We decided to stop at Walmart, ate lunch, and picked up a few groceries. We eventually turned left onto Hwy 50 and arrived at South Lake Tahoe 25 miles later. We pulled into Tahoe Valley RV Resort at 3:00 pm. Cost for 11 days is $198.00 with RPI - not bad at $18.00/night. The next day we got up refreshed and drove to the next town called Williams. This place was awesome and right on route 66 again! It was exactly how you imagine an american town and had some cool places to shop and eat. Another great place we liked so decided to stay there before heading to the Grand Canyon.
We spent much of the day waiting on the repairman, but he fixed the problem when he got here. It takes a long time for the refrigerator to cool so it was bedtime when we were able to move food out of the coolers and into the refrigerator. But at least we're back up and running. Hurray!
