I spent almost a week in Negril, a long stretch of beaches along the western tip of Jamaica. Very popular with tourists. I walked the beach several times and I've been annoyed by the "farmers" and the like on a regular basis. They are sometimes aggressive. Better to walk along the road than the beach at night to/from the restaurant for obvious reasons. Nice sunsets.

... of Hurricane Paloma to the west. But there was nothing on the local station or the hotel TV about it, which was frustrating since we were headed next to the west end of the island, closest to it. My review of the place will come later. Suffice it to say that it was mostly pleasant, but by the time I left I was talking to the manager about consulting for some process improvement that they badly need.
