... having a beer and watching a man try to dig his van out of the snow. To my knowledge his van is to this moment where it was when I left the bar.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to post some pictures of Canillo when it's snowy and the sun comes out. Don't have too many, but figured it was worth a post.
... waiting for him too. Probably not, but he was still a hero in my book.
We finally arrived at my destination at about 8:30am, and I proceeded to try to get my bearings in a new place. I was surprised at how quiet everything was, and also by the fact that most of the shops were still closed at close to 9 on Saturday. A few hours later I realized this little town doesn't really get started until about 9:30 or 10. Never ceases to amaze me as the ...
Found out today that the 90 day tourist visa that I thought we were granted for each country is actually for the combined Senchgen countries. Since we'll be at least 60 days in France alone, it means we won't be doing the France, Italy, Greece and then Turkey route we had planned on in the length of time we'd ...
Boussenac, Midi-Pyrénées, France 2totango... for them to eat. So this requires a lot of hay on hand.
Justin ordered 34 large round bails to be delivered and we set about to preparing the hay loft. Then as they began to arrive it was a team effort to roll them into the barn and into place. The hardest part was rolling the bails up on top of one another to get as many into the barn as possible.

A gory day full of raw meat, but surprisingly it didn’t bother me. Some issues that have arisen when discussing the idea of setting up our own small holding with the attempt to be as self-sufficient as possible was whether or not we could deal with it. So far it doesn’t seem to be a problem.
We’ve stayed a few extra days at this farm with the anticipation of butchering day. Took 2 pigs to the abattoir ...
... Festa Brava hotel. I seriously considered going snowboarding, but it was just too late in the season and the snow, though plentiful, was just too wet for my tastes. So I wandered about town, dodging the hourly rainfall and taking in the sights. Not too much to be seen here, but nice to look around a place I had no idea even existed!
Andorra la Vella, Andorra trent... most of it! I kind of wished for another day so I could pick up some art pieces and go to the Picasso museum, but you can't have it all. Tomorrow I am heading back to Munich just in time for the holidays. I'm excited to be celebrating Christmas and New Year's there. And its Sebastian's Birthday. The plans are more snowboarding in Germany and going up to Berlin for a visit.
God, how I hate money. But, even communists need it, or so it seems. I left Andorra with money - something I barely had when I arrived. Now, on to two weeks hitchhiking the small roads of France!!! Woohoo, bring on the culture and the romantic love for life. Modern Oddyseus. Thanks to Allen & Virot; Gesille; Juy; Olga; Linda; Juliana; and Christian & Lucianne for the rides! Much thanks to Klara & Martina - again; and Scottish Ricky - again - for the places to crash!
