Day 106

Successfully had a lie in this morning. Got up and checked out and had breakfast at the hostel's cafe downstairs. Really good it was too. Only just made it to the bus stop mind, as the transfer from the hostel was late! Still, we boarded and took just over 3 hours to get to Surfers Paradise. Had to put our clocks back an hour too, but it was literally at a roundabout of a town we passed through (Queensland has daytime saving, New South Wales doesn't). Waited ...

... to wear lol. After I had done all my chores, celebratory ice cream was in order and then I sat by the pool and watched the world go past. We had a strange meal of scrambled egg on toast for dinner. The girls had got us tickets for a bar crawl for tonight, which was the last thing I wanted to do but I had to go. The lasagna was delicious! After lunch I caught a ride into the city with Veronica, because she had to work for the rest of the day. She works on the CityCat, which is the ferry boat that runs along the Brisbane city and is used by commuters and tourists as a means of getting around the city. I had arranged to meet ...

... I didn't think I was one to get sea sick but that was proved wrong when I spent the morning bringing up my breakfast - yum! Went to the famous Whitehaven Beach and mucked around taking group photos, getting our sexy stinger suits on and playing in the water, the fact that around 50 people were all wearing their stinger suits meant we all looked like tits so it didn't matter! After beach shena****ns we snorkelled part of the Great Barrier Reef which was sick, saw a fish half ...
