... here in the village of Sassetout le Mauconduit (or as we like to say ‘Sausages of Misconduct’) that we discovered the secret to small French villages. If you are looking for a bakery, butchery, newspaper shop, information etc head directly to the church. Village life is centred around this one very visible beacon. This theory seems to work in larger towns as well and we employ it often.

... a lot. At the Amsterdam airport they had this crazy chocolate store that had the most rediculous chocolates. one of them were mini wine bottles made out of chocolate. And I saw all of the foods that Jason had told me about too!! Like the candy sprinkles on toast and the louftwafles. At the next airport we waited for the shuttle for a long time and just ended up eating and playing Presidents for a couple hours.

I Don't Know How to Pour Tea

... warm cup of chamomile or ginger tea. And today that dream came true! - well, almost.

As I grabbed the teapot and began to our tea into my cup, it began to spill on the table! For a split second, I thought the teapot had a crack (Alinnette thought the same), but after a second try, the waitress came to my rescue and poured my tea into my cup. I don't understand what I was doing wrong! But I cleaned up after myself immediately, and the waitress saw how embarrassed I was, and ...

It is currently 1am and I am still awake and trying to study. Learning about history of linguistics just really isn't my cup of tea. Like I'm sorry, but I really don't care at all. This doesn't have any impact on my life whatsoever. I just don't care. I'm going to look through my stuff a little bit more and head to bed. Sadly, my exam is at 9am so I have to get up early and even earlier to review before I take the exam. I'm going ...

          ... home anyone?

I also want to go and eat Subway, but apparently it's super expensive here. I can't decide if I should go and get some so I can feel more at home. As much as I love the French food, I'm just really missing my meatless meat and Mexican food. I mean it's understandable right? I have been here for over 2 months, 71 days to be exact, I just counted. Wow, that means my stay here is half way through. That's crazy to think about. I'm not sure if I'm ready to go home yet.
