Having only seen Kalkan from a distance in the bus previously and thinking it looked good, I was keen to spend a couple of days there. We had decided to head for Köyceġiz situated on a fresh water lake between Marmaris and Dalaman. The distance was 46Km but the GPS estimated travelling time as about 1,5hours – the twisty roads and the built up areas mean slow progress and time to enjoy the views.

It’s air conditioned too! We, however retired to the Oxygen Bar – an open deck where one can 'relax’ on giant cushions, whilst we waited for the Buckley 4, from Edinburgh.
It’s soooo good to hear and then see them – at midnight. They were exhausted after the flight followed by a 2 hour plus, transfer from Dalaman airport.
