At last the wind looked like it was going to be blowing favourably, from the SE and nice and strongly, so that we would be able to sail to Kalmar, 42 miles north of us. As it was only 42 miles we didn't rush and set off at 08:45 and had the engine off at 09:15, having had to initially follow the channel SE into deeper water before we bore away and started sailing.
