... I liked the staff at the hotel I think even they are in on some kind of taxi scam; they probably take a cut because they always call the same cab company. Our cab ride only cost 23.40€! And no extra charge for luggage (like the last cab), total cost including tip 27€! He was a nice cabbie because he let me practice my French! While on the train I noticed on a message board that we were going 308 km/hr! Wow! It was so smooth. While on the train ...

... the Prussian Academy of Sciences. Italian composers wrote music for her and two of her harpsichords are on view. The rooms are full of portraits of family with many being of Sophie Charlotte herself. Loving her gardens, she had the lower oval room built with French doors which could be opened out onto them. After she died King Friedrich came to live there in the summer and had the Porcelain Room decorated to show his power. It is quite an extraordinary room. ...

Early wake up for us all this morning, as were we heading to Berlin! For a full day of fun and adventure! First we stopped at the supermarket and got some junk food for the car ride and also a roll each as none of us had eaten breakfast yet. Then we headed off down the autobahn to Berlin!! Took us about 2 hours to get there, and the weather wasn't too bad today which was good. When we finally reached Berlin, we had trouble trying to find a car park, it took us almost half an ...
