I am right now in the South of Brazil, colonized mainly by europeans (Germans, italians...) I took a night bus to Floripa (12 h) and there is a good place to visit some beaches in the Santa catarina island.
After these days I will be in the NGO doing the reforestation project, for two weeks. However I have some days before fliying back to Europe. I may be visit Iguaçu falls (Depending on money, of course)

... by some coffee.... then we ambled back to the "Museum" only to find out it was really a school so were not quite sure what or how we got confused.

One thing I must say the food here is very good. I have eaten in the hostels and in the restaurants and the food is just great...

Breakfast in the hostels is usually bread, cheese and ham. followed by fruit and fruit juice ...

... Campeche up the road further, we were driving south of Barra do Lagoa, honestly the beachs are stunning, like the mind boggles when I think that this is their winter, it was roasting! It goes against everything I no to be winter, bloomin brilliant I say, could totally get used 2 it!! We kept driving and the nxt thing we new were were driving onto a beach no where else to go but straight onto the sand, now I mean when I say breath-taking I ...

... to head into town, back to Hostel Lagoa to talk to the guy (JuJu) that rented it to us in the first place. Under my impression he said 1:30pm Domingo which is Sunday but we only paid for 3 days and we rented on Wednesday so that means we have to return it today. Once we get to the hostel we spoke to another man who worked with JuJu  who checked the date and sure enough it was to be returned today. It would've been nice to have the bike another day.....tomorrow is our last ...

I woke up to Marina´s Mum saying ´Dana, are you awake yet? It´s 10 o´clock´ She had lots of things planned for me, and if I didn´t get up soon, I´d miss out on some of them. The breakfast table was full of food, and the sun had started shining so the view out over the water was stunning. We left the house and headed first to Jouaquina (?) beach. ... with soccer all the time down here, I decided to give it a shot my last Thursday in Floripa. Antonio knows some people who hold a weekly game and a churrasco (brazilian bbq) afterwards. Despite not having played since 5th grade at recess, I managed not to embarrass myself too badly by just passing the ball as soon as I got it, which I did reasonably well. Whenever I would try to dribble somewhere, they'd shout "calma gringo, calma!!" and then I'd remember that ...

... water) Irish engineer had been travelling for so long that he could not be bothered to learn people´s names anymore. The blond Swedish people (apparently even blonder than me) were very sweet and let me use their rented surf board. A local mad man approached us at the long, sandy beach offering sea shells. "In paradise you need no money, just sea shells, " he said with a big smile on his face. We returned to the hostel a few sea shells richer.

... pizza while Elisha is passed out on the couch. The sun starts to rise and we decide to head home for some good mornings sleep, ready for the next night... The following night we hit a lovely Lebanese Bar/Restaurant, for some delicious dips and drinks and belly dancing ladies! Later we move on to a nightclub called Latitude, this place was packed and so cool. Inside and outside areas, live Brazilian band and DJ in between. Met some new friends ...

... Theaterstueck angeschaut. Das war echt komisch, schade nur, das ich nichts von den Witzen verstehen konnte :) Der Bus fuhr bereits um 15.00 Uhr los, die Fahrt sollte 15 Stunden dauern und war nicht sehr bequem. Ich konnte kaum schlafen, weil dieser Bus anscheinend keine Stossdaempfer hatte. Es war ein Geschuckel und Geruettel, ich fuehlte mich wie ein Wackeldackel!! Lest weiter, was ich im Dreilaendereck Brasilien-Argentinien-Paraguay erlebt habe...
