We woke up this morning to a gloomy, overcast sky. Upon arrival yesterday the receptionist mentioned how lucky we were to be here on a lovely day as they are very few and far between. As a complete sun-worshipper myself, I wasn't pleased with the current weather situation. I didn't mind too much however as we had a busy day ahead consisting of trying to find a fancy dress shop in Florianopolis city centre. We are hunting ...

We left Ilha Grande with plenty of time to spare to start our trek across Brazil. The thought of a 24 hour bus journey in hindsight sounds infinitely more appealing than what eventually materialised. ... irish pub was over capacity so we made our way to another bar very brazilian but with live music, where we laughed and enjoyed the night.

    3) rain again but we opted to do a tour. We went to a far away beach no idea of the name and made the unanimous decision to store our bags at the little shop strip down to our swim suits and run to the beach. We did and spent a good part of the afternoon jumping in the waves of the warm sea water! When ...

... and as the sun went down had an awesome conversation about politics, life, family, whatever you can think of, and then took the sardine bus's even-more-stuffed cousin back to town.

I am at the mercy of horrible gridlock and a anxiety-disorder's nightmare bus, but it just so happens that I arrive with perfect timing for the youth service to begin and EBBCB not to explode :) The service was a full band of 6 and a bench of 3 ...
