    ... the U.S. Ambassador to Bulgaria. I liked the wine much better. The Ambassador was rude and didn't care to talk to the Bulgarians. Anyway, over the weekend we went to a cave called Saeva Dupka Cave. It reminded me of Seneca Caverns.
    Side note: While in Bulgaria, I became good friends with a girl named Shelby. She's from Texas (I forgive her haha) and we have been running up to 8 miles by this point. She talked me into running a FULL MARATHON with her in ...

    ... been traveling until now and has a more or less Mediterranean climate) and a northern part (which is actually the Danube valley and has a more land climate) independent of its name. We followed a big river downstream, had a lot of climbing to do nonetheless. From a bit higher point of view, we of course had this scenic 'Marklin' perspective: everything is small, the river flows, the trains look modeled, only the rocks stay enormous.

    ... it is also shocking and sad to see such poverty first-hand, especially in Europe. It was bitterly cold but many of the children were not wearing shoes, some barely anything at all. The houses are lean-to shacks and there is one outside tap to serve 40 people. It's moments like this that make all the effort behind our annual Christmas Box Appeal worthwhile. Thank you ...
