... the houses, called Konstantsalyiska House, had been donated to Bulgaria as a museum, and it represented life at that time down to the 3-legged chairs, the stone fireplaces used for baking bread, the stone containers used for bringing water from the well, etc. One couldn't help but imagine what life must have been like in that house and in the village.

... at shipka and re-enactment of the great battle however the police closed the road so we headed off to etara instead. ... Romania in Bulgaria using the same crossing as last year, this time I remembered that the crossing goes over a river and the bridge is a toll road.....last year I spent an hour riding round trying to work out why my satnav was trying to take a 400 mile detour....I told it to avoid toll roads!!

Now plotted up in a hotel in Kazanlak, aiming for Turkey tomorrow....

... although Anna Maria seems to be well informed, she is very opinionated and it is a little difficult to know how much to believe of her comments.
