Not much to say

This town was really in the middle of nowhere. There was a huge windstorm and the town was super dead, except for a bunch of seniors at the bar down by the beach. We hung out there to use their internet and to watch an episode of Frasier in english. Not our most exciting day. We tried to rent mountain bikes at our resort but they had put them away for the winter... it was like 20 degrees out!

Day 33 - Dealing with the police again.

... was followed by a breakfast of warm UHT milk, cheap cornflakes, sand, and salt eaten in a metal tin. Umm. Well lets go to the police station and leave Peniscola for ever.

We found a nice little spot on a farmers field about 20 miles away, no more beaches, no more robberys, no more cola, and certainly, no more penis.

Day 32 - The good, the bad, and the Spanish

... was littered on the sand he was approached by a small spanish young man who was licking his lips and rubbing his groin suggestively. That is not what you need when you have just been robbed. Alex politely refused the gentlemans offer. After he was rejected by me aswel he carried on walking down the beach. We met some cool French dudes who worked at a Jet ski hut on the beach and we slept there for the rest of the night.

Day 31 - Damn Spanish and their damn 4 hour siesta

Waking up under a rat infested ***** bridge to the sound of thousands of peoples footsteps is great. Especially when you can´t find a toilet. We cycled for hours and couldnt get lunch because of a damn four hour lunch time siesta. We litterally had to eat seeds to give us the energy to get to the next town.

Arriving at a beach in Deltebre we played a game ...

Ask what you ate only AFTER you've tried it

... Spanish countryside, walking around a hand-built, stone monastery from the middle ages. I had only ever read about something like that before this weekend.

Next, we continued on to Terraco (Terragona). Upon getting off the bus, I was immediately looking at the ruins of a coliseum from the 1st century. We took a walking tour throughout the magnificent city before settling down to lunch at a restaurant that serves authentic food from the Roman period ...

Across the Ebro Delta

Reluctant to leave Platja Santa-Lucia but finally moved on with detour into Ebro delta - more wonderful birds, paddy fields, etc.

Checking tyres at Carrefour, one loose valve caused complete deflation. Luckily nearby kwikfit came to the rescue - no charge. Spanish in general very polite and helpful.

Los Pinos cheap, scruffy but again friendly and welcoming, with a small pool.

A day to explore valencia

... about 2 city blocks, insane! I tried to take some pictures of it but I couldn't really get far enough back to get a good shot of it. Afterwards we decided to walk to the Arts and Sciences Complex. This is a really cool place, it's 5 different buildings that all have different functions and are all very modern looking. The newest one looks kind of like an egg and is for operas. We wandered along the parks to make our way to the complexes and saw some pretty ...
