... water display choreographed to music, performed every half hour in the evening. Very impressive and a good way to end our day. These malls are a shoppers paradise, but didn't really appeal to us as we aren't big on shopping! The haze cleared a bit for us today, which made everything look better, but still extremely hot. Looking forward to our return flight to Auckland tomorrow morning, even though it sounds like stormy weather at ...

We went into the desert, joined another car load of people and went careering through the dunes, slipping, sliding, overthetopping and cascading down the sides of these sandy waves. We passed some camels and came to a halt outside a camp. I declined the offer of a camel ride. Been there, done that, and nothing will beat my ride on Lazy Daisy at UIuru. I equally waved away the options ...

One by one, the teachers signed up. Interest, excitement, the challenge of a tough physical goal; whatever the reasons, eight brave individuals from Fujairah Academy signed up for the Dubai Creek half marathon on 6 December.

A training plan was drafted to fit around busy school life, consisting of three weekly runs of increasing distance over a ten week period. These were a mixture of city street loops, long ...
