... hot and humid. It rained a little while we were at George's house so the humidity sky rocketed. Walking around for an hour was about all I could handle. We took the bus back to Athens and just came back to the hotel. We ordered some room service for dinner and are now laying in bed watching some Bruce Willis movie on the tv.

No plans to tomorrow yet, but want to see some more of the tourist attractions of Athens before we leave.

... how they managed to build and carry all these rocks up such a giangantic hillside. I see why they did it- they had such a magnificent and flawless view of their beautiful city and were also in the oppertune position to look out for attackers! For lunch we went to the seaside town Nafplion ...

... monument of Mycenaean architecture built around the 14th century BC.
Next we drove to a gorgeous seaside town called Nafplion which is a popular summer resort. It had quaint narrow streets, window boxes, cobblestones roads - had ice cream here which was beautiful. A short drive to our accommodation, Hotel Minos in Tolo which overlooked the sea with a beautiful pool area. We felt like we'd arrived in heaven and watched the sun set across the water.

... not quite sure where I was going and had to ask directions. I had come too far and needed to walk back towards the sea, but it was not far and I found the hotel Epidavria a street back from the sea front. A warm welcome to a very pretty room, complete with balcony and a view of the sea and mountains albeit between the buildings in front.

I needed to eat, and found several places with ...
