... theatre goers into their restaurant. We eventually stopped at this one road side restaurant with lots of people eating outside. There was a glass enclosure at the corner of the restaurant. Inside, we could see two lambs being roasted on a spit, and two chefs chopping up another on one side. The lamb was juicy and tasty. It has lots of lamb taste that lamb lovers would die for but non-lamb lover would puke on. We loved it. One of the best surprise meals of the ...

For lunch we went to the seaside town Nafplion ...

... I woke as we stopped for a short morning tea before we crossed the Canal and headed for the ancient city of Corinth. The Acropolis was a bit more impressive than the one we had seen in Athehs, as it seemed virtually unreachable seeing as it was so high! I imagine a joy helicopter flight would be a nice tourist attraction in that area! The ancient ruins below were quite incredible in contrast to the height of the Acropolis- i think if i were one ...

... monument of Mycenaean architecture built around the 14th century BC.
Next we drove to a gorgeous seaside town called Nafplion which is a popular summer resort. It had quaint narrow streets, window boxes, cobblestones roads - had ice cream here which was beautiful. A short drive to our accommodation, Hotel Minos in Tolo which overlooked the sea with a beautiful pool area. We felt like we'd arrived in heaven and watched the sun set across the water.
