Another Week in the Cold
... yellow clog slippers.
That night, after some drinks and homemade pepernoten (becoming super Dutch), we headed out to the city. On the way back, in our drunken stooper it snowed pretty heavily, heavily enough for me to make a snow angel like a proper noob.
I am continually amazed by the beauty that is the architecture of Holland, and the magic touch of the snow.

... the hotel backing on to us. It is to lovely relax here and enjoy my holiday, albeit in the cold and spending most of the time acting as the cheshire cat (I hardly understand what is going on half the time, lets hope future blogs will feature some Dutch too). You can also smell the Dutch social life quivering in the air.

Dag voor vertrek
Lieve allemaal,
Morgen is het dan zover: het begin van mijn 3,5-maanden durende rondreis door Zuid-Amerika!
Om 12.25u zal ik vertrekken vanaf Schiphol, om vervolgens een kleine 13 uur later te landen in Lima (Peru), waar mijn reis zal beginnen.
Om het thuisfront enigszins op de hoogte te houden van mijn avonturen heb ik deze blog aangemaakt. Ik zal proberen hier regelmatig een stukje te schrijven!

2 days before "Fryslan"
... time the environment will be even better to calm down, we are meeting in Paulie's home town: Leeuwarden!
Looking forward to see my friends and see what "Fryslan" is like! It's just 6,5 hours on the train but I'm sure it's worth it. I'm telling myself I will be reading all the way there and thus, catch up on all the reading I haven't been doing in the last few months!

Het grote inpakavontuur
... mee optrekken. We vliegen met een groep van 20 mensen die ook met die organisatie vliegt dus we kunnen meteen al nieuwe mensen ontmoeten. Hierna volgt een week met een druk programma waar we allemaal leuke en ook praktische dingen gaan doen. We worden geholpen met papierwerk en het regelen van een nieuwe Australische bankrekening zulke dingen, maar we gaan ook uit en hebben een tour door Sydney en nog veel meer. ...
