A nice afternoon and evening with cousin Saskia, Mark Tante Nelly and Oom Henk.
The weather was perfect for a tree top walk and Heather Walk at Het Boomkroonpad.
Then dinner at Chinese Restaurant Wo Hing in Assen.
An early morning start for me to get to Roelof and Janny's place in Gorredijk. Then we were off to Urk, a fishing village which was once an island. The weather was great to sit outside and enjoy coffee and lunch and a stroll around the village.
We returned to Gorredijk and then rode bicycles through the woods and countryside to find a lovely quiet place to enjoy afternoon tea, in the sunshine.

... our country village strolls we discovered the coolest farm gates ever made. It's like an entire tree has been used. We were impressed. ... France. After an hour or so we broke up the party and went back to the B&B to get cleaned up for dinner. We then picked up Tom and met Juno at a very nice restaurant situated next to a canal. As the ships cruised up and down the canal we learned about all the happenings in each of our subsequent travels and managed to eat several steaks, salads, desserts and of course, a few more beers.
The night ended fairly early and I felt like we'd fully enjoyed this day once again. ...
