    ... part, and I joined them on their last day for a 10k walk. Very 'gezellig' and great to spend some time with Dutch kids. Regina is the daughter of John's cousin Erwin, and his wife Mirjam, who we stayed with.

    ... 150 kilometres or catch two ferries. So the ferries won the toss. BUT, at this stage we weren’t aware of how expensive ferries are! O.M.G!

    Enough whingeing about the cost of living in Norway – the Lofoten Islands are great, once you get past the smell of Cod drying everywhere! And we mean everywhere!! Everywhere you go, you see masses of commercial racks where the cod (heads & bodies) are hung out to dry, and then you will see ...

    ... area also had some connection with the military-perhaps for all terrain training exercises. The fact that the cycle path ran right through the area, we figured that we could get away with finding a little posi for our tent overnight. We found a discreet spot and set up for the night then set off as early as we could in the morning!
