This morning Jo and I went our separate ways for the day. Jo went to Dachau to visit the concentration camp, which was something that I didn't need to see. I went on a tour to Salzburg. The group left Munich by train and two hours later we got off in Salzburg. We then had a one and a half hour walking tour followed by three hours of free time. It …
This morning we headed to the airport early and sorted ourselves to fly to Munich. The Lufthansa plane seemed a little old to me, but after a major altitude drop not long after we took off all went smoothly. Once in Munich we successfully managed ourselves onto the right train and got off at the right station. We are staying right near central …
So we make it to Munich albeit getting off 5 stations to early from our destination and me not be able to find the right exit route from Munich Central Station!!! After catching the train from Salzburg (1st class, living it up) for a 2 hour journey, we head to the southern region of Germany: Bavaria. Like Austria, picturesque and stereotypical …
We started off our last whole day in Munich with a subway ride to the station nearest the Palace and then a fairly long walk through a very nice residential area of Munich. Eventually we reached the palace, which I recognized from my previous trip to Munich in high school. It has a very lengthy approach, with a man-made stream and pond running in …
We started out our 2nd day in Munich with a breakfast at the hotel. It had a great selection of breads and meats although its pastry selection wasn't impressive. Eggs were available though, which I made sure to order most mornings as I wasn't sure how many eggs I would be having for breakfast once I was in Marburg. After that we headed out to …

Historical Traveler Reviews Fleming's Hotel Munich City
Amazing Comfort, Location, & Price
My fiance and I booked a last minute Saturday night stay at the Fleming's Munich City based mainly on price and location. The hotel was one of the most competitively priced at $125 and located directly across from the main train station. The pictures on Expedia looked good but I've been fooled before. I was very surprised when we got to our room and it was nicer than the pictures! Everything was practically brand new and spotlessly clean. One odd design feature is that anyone showering is in full view by anyone in room due to a clear glass wall (check out the pictures I posted). I highly recommend this hotel if travelling by yourself or as a couple.
Better than most
I've stayed in more hotels and hostels than I'd care to remember and Fleming's hotel has impressed me more than most. I'd say it's one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The room has a great modern design, is extremely clean and is quite spacious as far as hotel rooms go. It was far superior to other 4* hotels I have occupied in Europe (incl. Munich). I shared a room with my fiancee so we were delighted with the transparent glass wall seperating the bedroom and large shower, for couples not so intimately linked this may present an awkward situation!
Amazing room at the Fleming
The Fleming Hotel Munich City is a wonderful place to stay. VERY modern, excellent location to the train station, and a 10 min. walk to the old city. The restaurant is tasty, too (if a bit overpriced). We stayed in a room that had a glass shower- nice for a couple but would make for a potentially uncomfortable arrangement between two friends (as you can see the other person taking a shower).
Excellent Travelling Stop
I stayed there for one night stop, between two legs of my flight.
I had an excellent, big, comfortable and silent room with a very decent rate.
The hotel is quite new and very clean.
It is conveniently located 50 meters from the train station. Dinner and breakfast were good; no complaints at all.
And the bathroom is worthy a visit !!
Hits the spot
Superb new hotel-spacious quiet rooms
We stayed room only but breakfast
looked good and restaurant reasonable
prices. Staff very pleasant
However watch out for mistaked on your bill
We had 2 wrongly placed items on a 3 day stay
These were quickly removed
Would certainly stay again
Not finished construction
I booked a 3 night reservation at this hotel and received a confirmation through Expedia at a non-refundable rate. Upon arriving at the hotel, it was obvious the hotel was still under construction and completely empty.
I was shocked, because there were even photos of the rooms posted on Expedia. After we called the main office, and were transferred to InterCity Hotel, which was not as new or modern as I was expecting but we needed to stay in that neighborhood.
We were told by the hotel that Expedia did not respond when asked to remove the hotel from their website. Make sure that the hotel is actually occupiable when making a reservation!
