Today I bus to Frankfurt. I've been there before a long time ago when I worked for Penguins doing the book fair. I'd seen a little of the city then but it has grown in stature since and is more of a financial hub. It laden with foreigners it's not unlikeable though and has a lively atmosphere. Like Berlin there are some amazing smells around the city but also like ...

... of the campus. Found a toilet, yay, then heard a tour like video and poked our heads in. The guide told us that you needed to book the tours and that the tour at 10 wasn't running! But said he didn't think we would be allowed but to ask at reception to join his tour which was a group of their Russian Distributers. Went to reception and she was dubious too. We said we had come all the way from Munich today to do the tour and that the guide had said we could ...

This place is pretty amazing for an airport restaurant.   Great food as well.   Our flight from Calgary was very long and the 9.5 hours definitely dragged on near the end. ...

... don't know they are no longer living in the 1800s. There were hardly any tourists, no English speakers other than our guesthouse owner, and we had the most relaxing, fun time walking through the beautiful, green landscape of the village, while we smiled and said "boona" (hello) to the kind locals.

We'll always remember our day in ...

... In a trance of complete liberation, I was open to meeting new people during my solo travels, even attracting guys while I was eating dinner like a loner. One guy looked at me and almost admired the way I was eating asking "is it good?" As he walked past. Flattered was an understatement.

And how small this world really is. Minding my own business shopping along Broadway in H&M, I suddenly hear my name announced in slow motion. It took me a minute to register it ...
