By this time we felt the occasional raindrop. As we made for the hotel, the rain got more aggressive so we took shelter in a restaurant, Leib & Seele. Good food.
After we ate, we made for the hotel as the rain had stopped. A tram was available so we rode to the hauptbahnhof. We were settled by 9:00pm in anticipation of our trip to das kapital in the morning.

Departure from the Netherlands was without fanfare and arrival into the German republic even less so. We spotted a sign saying our border crossing would be in one km so Lisa had her camera poised but no German sign. What we noticed were the roads were less well built, the cars a lot larger and no speed limit. And holy Krupp, they went flying by us in the outside lane.
