The rental car has sat nav, thank goodnes. However, we are now on pretty familiar turf. We headed off to Bad Homburg for lunch at our favourite potato restaurant. Now we are in Usingen at one of our favourite little hotels, the Kaminstube and are meeting our friends, Adelheid and Joachim for supper.

... beagle! The poor man must have thought we were crazy, but he was quite Ok with letting us fuss over his gorgeous dog, who looked quite like a much skinnier version of Annie.! The dog didn't mind us either!
Whilst we were sad to leave France, we are enjoying our brief interlude in Germany, and look forward to meeting Jola and Darek at Krakow airport tomorrow.
