Morretes was a lovely little town, with a colonial heart
along the big curves of the brown fast flowing river – this didn’t put of the
multitude of bathers, boaters and floaters. Was nice to see plenty of
establishments open and to finally enjoy a decent meal after weeks of Brazilian
breakfasts, lunchtime snacks & sandwich dinners.
Curitiba is about 12 hours bus ride South of Rio. It's halfway between there and Iguazu so we wanted to break up the journey and try somewhere a bit different. Boy is it different. It's so cold here! We were warned to be fair, but then anywhere's cold compared to Rio. Yesterday, our first day, was cold, miserable and wet all day. It actually made me a bit homesick.
