I arrived in Islamabad at 1:30 in the morning. The plane was full and there were many children and families. After going through immigration (the line for people arriving on foreign passports was very small), I was met by Mowadat and his daughter Roop with a big bouquet of flowers. We travelled to The Healing Triad, their clinic where they had converted an office into a room for me. After a sleep, Roop made Lunch for me in there garden then we went for a walk to get a ...

After hearing his hair raising ...

It's a nice area for families and kids and P said her younger daughter loved it here and even spent some time in the local school. In the evenings I got to meet P's friends who either dropped in for a drink or we went out for food. It was interesting to meet some 'modern' or ...

... decorated than the ones in India - if you can believe that from those of you who were here with me earlier this year. When we got to the hotel there was another meeting to say that China has now decided to do lots of army maneuvers at the point where we will be crossing in from Pakistan. We knew that Kashgar was being garrisoned but this is a step up. The upshot is that whilst we think that they will allow us in they won't allow the truck in and at present it seems ...
