... and headed off into traffic. Found Stickley residence without incident, lots of traffic near the on ramp of the motorway but managed that ok. ... accepted our NZ card even though it was English heritage. Not sure if we would have gone in else. However you climb 50 very steep steps up to the entrance with no prices outlined before you begin the ascent, so I guess you would think twice about descending with nothing to show for it(except a fatter wallet I guess).
