Gent or Ghent depending where you see the name ritten or written is in the middle of Belgium between Brussels and Bruges (my next stop) and is beautiful with creative streets and buildings 1000's of cyclists going faster up hills than I do down as their bells rattle on the cobbles, and designer buildings and bars. I have fallen in love with gent it …

Came out of the windmill to find the weather had deteriorated. Ponchos worth their weight in gold!

Ghent/Gent. Found the address, the drop box with the keys and into the garage. That was a shock to the system, especially Pauls. The space allocated for parking was at such an angle and so small that it was debatable if the car would fit. Fortunately, under ...

... up the street a while to get to the jam session that Julie had told us about the other night. We got there and walked inside through a ridiculously crowded and smokey room, where we found her and gave her a hug as we squished our way through the crowd, then got some beers at the bar and went to the back of the room, where there was a spare table for us to stand around. The place was so ridiculously smokey, (and not just with tobacco!) it was really gross! I'm so glad ...

... a barn and it had weird bits of fake meat hanging from the ceiling. No idea what that was about. Overall Gent is more city like than Brugge and it feels like it has more of an edge to the place, but Brugge was so pretty it will still be my favourite.

One alleyway I went down was totally covered in graffiti, which was totally allowed as there were loads of kids down there adding to it. It was controlled anarchy!
