They like their pizza! Pizzerias everywhere we looked... We got lost again looking for our Aire and decided that our maps and reading street signs are not good enough and that from now on we will use wifi to access google maps before moving on. Our system is just not working and as Jonny says, "I'm a little fed ...

There was a misunderstanding with the restaurant staff, (we arrived at the restaurant an hour before dinner, so we intended to wait, but were not informed that dinner was not served outside where we were sitting. The first walk was with my mother and the two kids. The second time just Juan and I walked from our apartment into the center of Ghent before meeting my mother and the kids by the train station. Its a fun city to walk around in as there are many cathedrals and a castle that line the canals not to mention the countless cafes that offer a well deserved treat after a day of walking.

On our way there, we passed through the pavilion, which was built in the centre of town as a kind of natural amplification and performance space. There was a band playing there, and some weird but cool white box things set up to look like they were suspended in mid air. It was pretty cool, and the music was good, but we got told off for dancing silly at the front, because the sound guys ...

... from France. We were initially enticed by the fact that Joshua thought it was Andrea Bocelli signing onstage, yet as time corrected these assumptions, we began to sing along to "Country Roads Take Me Home." As the entertainment continued, we were amused by the fact that the whole crowd knew the "YMCA", and so we partook in the Village People's four alphabet gestures that ...
