Got up this morning at 6:00 a.m. Anxious to get on the road to get to that warmer weather. Oops, when we tried to close the slide-out in the bedroom the awning on top of it was frozen. A hunt for a ladder, a little wiggle and it was fixed. Phew! Obstacle 1... Check!

Two hours into our trip...and BANG...a rock hits our windshield! This is my first windshield crack in 10+ years in my faithful car (affectionately named "Justin"....don't laugh). ... We slept in a Walmart parking lot in the front seats of my lil subaru. Not the best accommodations but it did the trick and it was completely free! Thanks Walmart! (Never thought I'd say that...)

We started out today walking in the small capital city of Frankfurt, Kentucky. As we walked down the street we found out that everyone greets everyone else with a friendly, "Hello."
