Sad to leave beautiful Kas with it's lovely warm weather and the lovely staff at the hotel and the rooftop terrace overlooking the water. Most hotels in Turkey give you a wonderful buffet breakfast with cereals, cold meats, cheeses and salads and hot eggs and other foods too.

At this hotel we had a dinner of a vegetarian buffet with bbq chicken, fish or meat, and a soup and dessert for a really reasonable price of A$12.

Everyone really enjoyed having a different pace and we enjoyed each other’s company lots. ... an exaggeration) honking their horns, getting out of their cars and yelling and directing each other... funny as hell, but painfully inefficient. There was also another time when we were driving along back country roads when one promptly intersected a highway without any warning. We were inches from t-boning another car! The most cardiac arrest inducing moment of our trip. Once we settled in, we headed straight to Ephesus, an Ancient Greek city which later became a major Roman ...

... it's way to intense! We booked our flight to Thessaloniki which was only and hour flight. However Turkish Airlines were planning a strike so if it got cancelled we would have had to take the 12 bus which we did not want to do! Luckily our flight was still on and we got into Thessaloniki around 3pm and got to our hotel not long ago. Seems like a nice place and so much more relaxed than Istanbul. Took me an hour to write that so you better read it. Hope all is well back home. Ash & ...
