Day 3, 4

Day 3 I wasn't traveling at all, I was busy working, However on the forth day I managed to go to a town not far from Barcelona called Lloret de Mar. It is a new town located just near the seashore, with wonderful forests at the same time. There are a lot of hotels there for every type of traveler.
<br ...
Lloret de Mar, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands eleoshka... I do for a blog! Our wifi on the ship is a bit pricey, $.38 a minute with a package deal or $.55 a minute without a package. Since it is a satellite connection it can be slow and sporadic at best so if I don’t post daily for the next 6 days it’s because of the weak connection but I will continue to write something every day and post when I can.

Going to sign out now, here’s to a safe and fun Atlantic crossing!

Ciao,

David

Had a great time in madrid, settled in after a few days and had loads of fun. Learnt lots of spanish as well, and met some great people. Also, I´m 22 now, which makes me old and responsible. Kinda sad to leave madrid, as it was a really great city to live in, but now here I am in Catalonia.

Granollers is a pretty nice town, lots of shops in a pedestrianised centre. The ...
Granollers, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands dave-mcgowan... to see for ourselves.

Tossa was just as they had described it – a lovely beach in a large bay with a castle on the peninsula. The weather was lovely as we explored the town and found a restaurant behind the castle wall to have lunch, where Alison got to taste paella at last. She enjoyed the meal – although she had to admit the paella she had ...

Tossa de Mar, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands nanofino... like waking up in a bus that had driven into the middle of a fairy tale! Besalu is this awesome little town which was designated Spanish national property in 1966. There was a beautiful bridge that was utilized a lot during the middle ages (for a profit of course). When we went over the gorgeous bridge, we visited the church of Sant Pere which was inaugurated in 1003. This place was beautiful! Very much a part of Catalunya, as were all the places we ...

Tossa de Mar, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands buckgw... which goes most of the way around the old town. At the top, I stop at the snack shop for a beer and eat the picnic I had prepared. Very relaxing watching the boats go by. I look at the bridge from afar when I can to see if my bag is still there. I pick it up at the end of the day. No problems.

Girona is another town with castle walls. I get there late in the day so all sites are closed. The hostel has only been open a few weeks ...
Girona, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands will.traveller... feel like i am touching the sun. We went back to the campsite bar hoping to further develop our representations. Unfortunately nothing was going on and we soon left. After this we bravely approached a group of girls (of which none of them i was interested in Tiff because you are amazing) on the beach but due to a lack of language skills ...
Santa Susanna, Catalonia, Spain chris_jones01... and decided that we needed something larger (at no extra charge, at least). The vehicle we ended up with was something like a cross between an SUV and a mini-van. By chance, we noticed that a GPS navigation system was available for rent, so we signed up for one of these as well. It was well worth 7 euros per day for this gadget as we might still be driving around Barcelona looking for the highway without it. The drive to the Costa Brava was ...
