... get to the edge of the mall along a travellatored walkway and then when inside the shop there were 7 floors the size of 50 football fields with ice skating, cinemas, high end shops, aquarium, a discovery centre and regular shops. BIG! It has more visitors per year than tourists in NYC. Yet it did not seem crowded. Anyway we could see the Burj on the way in and it was across a huge hole in the ground where they were building a new building. We eventually ...

It is 8.15 in the morning here but 2.15 Melbourne time. I have been travelling since 6 pm yesterday. We had a stopover in Singapore that took longer than normal because of an electrical problem but we got to Dubai on time. I did get some sleep after Singapore but it was broken, so now I am in bed hoping to take a quick nap to refresh before I hit Dubai properly. I would like to introduce you to Maretta, who was my travelling companion from Melbourne. She is a Danish Ph.D ...

Friday is like our sunday in Dubai, wich mean the train (metro) start running at 1 pm. When you only have one day to spend in such a big city, it limit your travel. So i decided to walk up to the burg Khalifa. I could have take the bus but i like to walk and feel the city. I nearly got run over 2 times. The first time was when i cross my first street. I was on a pedestrian crossing but there was no light for the pedestrian. So ...

The flight was disappointing, i was expecting more from flydubai. You have to pay for your food and drink, nothing is free. Plus the service was really slow, in a 4h30 hour flight they came only once. With british airway we had 2 service and it was free. But doesn't really matter, i'm in Dubai, thirsty but alive. Burj khalifa, 826m high. You can see it from far way. ...
