We were tossing and turning on what to do in Bulgaria..we had to make it to Crete in Greece by the end of the month. With that in mind, I had a Bulgarian friend in Sofia as well, but told Sofia was not worth our time! Catch 22…

We decided to chill on the beach town of Varna for 2 nights and head to Veliko Tarano in central Bulgaria, but with no trains to Turkey and no buses from Veliko, fate had made our minds up! We stayed at Varna for 2 nights ...

... was being held over the weekend. The city put on two big screens to follow their team. While I was still applauding, there were no other England fans in my viewpoint, a few angry Bulgarians turned to look at me and I quickly sat down and stopped clapping. I picked up my 30p beer (delicious) and pretended like nothing happened.

... 305;ved 30 mınutes late and took longer than usual at the border crossıng we ınevıtably mıssed our connectıng traın to Varna, so had to waıt a couple of hours for the next traın, whıch we found out (once we were already on ıt and movıng) was the wrong traın. So once the 14 hour journey was over we arrıved ın Varna ...

I'm only going to post one picture today- one that I think sums up the camp. You can fly if someone is there to hold your hand. These kids all have value and are loved by God and we've just had a few days to communicate that but perhaps it is the "skydiving" that will live on in Iliana's memory long after the other stuff fades.
