Gardenia 508, La Crucecita Huatulco, Pacific Coast, Mexico
... Jason's. It was great fun!!! Everybody was extraordinary and we made great new friends, especially with a couple that has so many similarities that it seems like holding a mirror in front of Jason and me. Maria and Michel became extremely close friends in such a short time and we truly miss them. But we also miss our other friends and we are sure we'll me them all again! Another very interesting personality is Hugo from Annecy!!!! My Swiss friends know ...
Huatulco, Pacific Coast, Mexico lenitasworld... It certainly wasn’t this beach and I was at a loss to explain to her where it was.

After the beach, we enjoyed the ambiance of this little town starting with an excellent Oaxaca coffee at a little kiosk located under a gazebo in the main square.

From Santa Cruz we took a bus back to La Crucecita. We got off at the extremity of town to get a chance to see more. Even in the dark this town was large enough to be interesting.<br ...
Huatulco, Oaxaca, Mexico lobo... walking for longer too! I got the good job of sitting in a beach cafe minding the bags while Mark went and searched for our home for the next 2 nights. So kicked off my thongs (jandels/flip flops) ordered a coke and sat back to watch the surfers in action. We ended up taking a room above the cafe I was in, perfect not far to carry the backpack. Checked out the town and as Mark said that took us a whole of ...
Zipolite, Mexico markandbecs... this side. There is a really strong pull and rips and the travel books say many people drown unfortunately. There were some random people with whistles that popped over now and then and that I guessed were some form of lifeguard, but it didn't seem very professional. Sort of sounding like a ****** but not meaning to. Just writing! I got addicted to the water, there were no jellyfish ( that I saw) and despite the dogs bounding in the water there were ...
Huatulco, Mexico vlad... he's one of the most optomistic people I've ever met. Zipolite is bigger and more popular that Mazunte, but it's still pretty laid back. People describe it as a hippy beach town, with plenty of drugs and topless suntanning. After Zipolite we walked about a mile or so further east to Puerto Angel to look for sea glass (the good thing about polluted beaches is that there tends to be tons of good sea glass). Aside from the sunset hike and ...
Mazunte, Mexico checky... get diesel there, as well as water and food (I was down to 1 liter of water, and that Schooner was eyeing it like he was going to pilfer it.). However, when I got there, there was absolutely no room to anchor anywhere, since pangas took up all the space. I tried to anchor on the sea side of the sea wall in about 60 feet, but as I paid out my anchor chain, it fouled and wouldn't budge either direction. It was at the 150 foot mark, but if I left the boat and more paid out ...
Huatulco, Mexico wmdkim... in other pueblos on the way. The countryside was very beautiful. We decided to take a night bus there. Sleeping was hellish, I must say. The roads are twisty and turny and there are random speed bumps that you have to slow down for. At least we weren´t in a chicken coop. Another group from the institute went in a 2nd class bus...what you think of a Mexican bus ride, head out the window, motion sickness, all that and more. We got a little beach time, but Saturday, our only ...
Puerto Escondido, Mexico spragk... John collapsed in a heap! The next day John was feeling better so we headed to the beach where we met up with Stina, Debbie and Joey - perhaps laying on the beach with 4 girls in bikinis is what made John feel better!! The 11th was John`s birthday and we spent it by having brekkie on the beach, then walked to a quiet little bay, snorkeled with some pretty coloured fish in the coral, John went on a banana boat (a little Mexican boy clung on to him the whole ride ...
Puerto Escondido, Mexico timeofourlives... suite, as we lounged away the hours on our verry own beach front palapa (straw hut cabana). Ah life is good. We decided then and there that day trips of any sort were out of the question, as was any other activity that interferred with loungin the ENTIRE days away at our little palapa. Even eating away from the palapa was restricted to those meals which could not be brought out to us (either too late or too early in the day ...
