The follow day we expolored the town more, revealing something different to discover around each corner.
Leaving Brugge today we headed to Cologne to vist the Cathederal. The drive did not take long when you can sit on 150kph and still get passed.
The Koln Cathederal is absolutley breathtaking. It is an enormus structure. The inside is just as amazing. Pictures cannot ...
Short entry this time....
Only here for one night. Got to the hotel saw a couple of shops with beersteins, birkenstocks and clocks. Had dinner and watched some feral women proceed to get ****** and act like idiots in the hotel bar. Some good news though, won 30 euro on the slot machine in the hotel.
One of the guys (we assume it was a guy) even peed in the hotel hallway and our Tour Manager had to clean it up. People can be such animals.

... of gifts. We had some presents to be given to our family members and friends and she had lots of goodies for us…mostly me! Fist and foremost she brought us delicious Kraft Dinner, which was promptly eated while sitting in the van in the following days! Secondly she brought us lots of little snacks and munchies for the road, which was nice while we were driving and didn’t want to ruin our appetites for later. She also brought ...
Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany ktchrisWow St Goar seriously looks like a very typical little German town, it's hard to describe why but when you just look at the little houses you know your in Germany.

... by the ancient Romans. Now, in Japan and Turkey and Hungary, baths are sex-segregated for the naked parts, but clothed for mixed-gender. Not so here...everyone's junk was out for all to see and holy **** was it weird. Especially with the combo of hot sauna; steam room, and cold dips. 'nuff saId. Anyway. My eyes are burning.
Tomorrow we are visiting the little towns on the Rhine for more neuer wine and pretzels. Then it's home on Monday!
... path from Roman times and earlier.
The main feature of the trip was the many castles spread along the route. Most of these were to enforce river tolls, or to claim various sections of the river for a particular baron or, in later years, as elaborate residences for the rich. Dad bought a book about the castles that provided more information to complement the commentary provided on the boat.
... seen Amsterdam: drugs, sex and lots of bikes!
Then we started driving to Germany.. I have to say that the european scenery has been really bland until now..there is more variety in driving from Sydney to Gosford than there has been from France to the Netherlands and now Germany... its so flat and the only thing on either sides of the freeway is farms so not much to see and ive just been napping most of the time but finally as we came into the ...
... the Rhine valley and stayed in a little town called St. Goar amazing place, i met up with some great friends Jim and Janeen Johnsen, they saved me after Frankfurt. we stayed in a cool little place called the hotel am markt, my room was awesome, had a shower but no toilet, so had to use the one in the hall, fun actually. anyway we explored castles all around the valley, some now turned into hotels and hostels, some built as ...
St. Goar, Germany, Germany indigosb... table was lowered downstairs, set completely for dinner and then hoisted back up so the King could eat alone. Very odd. Interesting to see all three castles involved in his life. So...back to the schedule. Now only one hour behind schedule we got on the road to Stuttgart. An uneventful drive that took about 1/2 hour longer than planned (luckily we had our sandwichs packed from breakfast). Arrived at the ...
Sankt Goar, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany jennie... wine & much merriment was had by most of the others culminating in one guy smashing a glass over his head just to prove he would - Herman wasn't impressed. During the night, one of the girls didn't quite make it to the bathroom before puking on the floor quite near my bed! I was in my sleeping bag up on a top bunk & I could hear someone else looking after her so I just scrunched down into my sleeping bag and tried not to throw up too.
