... to our first short elevation up.

A lady announced we had reached a mile. That was somewhere near the Green Mountain trail head. I new that with how my legs and joints felt, that I could probably be ok. My lungs felt great, The fresh morning chill, inhaled in and exhaled out, was rejuvenating. We zipped off our excess clothing and threw it around Bill and Judy's mailbox as we passed by. ... have a bit of a jam session. Of course I got roped into singing (it really didn't take that much coaxing though to be honest). So I spent that night singing and dancing with old dudes in a blues bar. And loved it. I was even told I was as cute as a bugs ear at Easter time which is when they are at their very cutest. Our first stop in Seattle was REI. It is much larger than the one in Ann Arbor. The AAA Tourbook said it had a rock climbing wall and mountain bike test track. The rock climbing wall is only open sporadically for $20-$40. The outdoor test track looked like fun. There is a waterfall feature on the property as well.

We are a Navy family. We love to travel. Two facts that make us a great family. We love seeing and learning new things, but it doesn't take going very far from home. Now that it's summer vacation while my husband is a work our boys and I get in my car a look for adventure. Whether it's just down the street at the park, over in Seattle, or on a plane thousands of miles from our home we go looking for fun, laughter, and memories to last a lifetime. I wonder where we will end up ...

Day 11 - Amazing Seattle weather

This morning we stopped in at the Old Navy store and got a few clothes for the kids. It was all good stuff and even though it wasn't an outlet store it was good value. The weather is spectacular today, only 15-20 degC but blindingly sunny. All the street tree blossoms seem to be trying quite hard.

Pikes Market in Seattle is one of the oldest in the world. We went down to this area and watched the marketeers do their thing. There was ...
