... get the chance"... you won't see what you wanted until the end of the meal!

Fiji water.... since it comes from there is is super cheap! We bought a 6 pack of 1.5 liter bottles and it only cost $11.95 Fijian, which is $6 in US currency.

They don't really have Nestle or Hershey candy bars in Fiji... instead Cadbury does all their candy... we had to try out a Hokey Pokey Honeycomb Crunchie bar... it was interesting, and good.

Kava ...
Nadi, Viti Levu, Fiji erinandpaul07... people for their items. I actually did REALLY good! One of my friends bargained with a guy for black pearl earrings. They started at $60 FD and he got them down to $15 FD (about 7.50 USD). I asked if I could get his price for another pair for my mom since I was standing right there and they let me. I found a pair for myself at another place and I was able to get him down to $8! For real Fiji pearls! (They take a flame to them and everything to show ...
Nadi, Viti Levu, Fiji erinandpaul07... they were already friends with the girls. And yes I know what you're thinking; Norbert is the greatest name in ever. I should point out that Patrick's full name is Patrick Bonjour so he's no slouch in the name department either. When I put 'Patrick Bonjour' into my spell checker it gave me the options for what I really meant to type of Patrick Bourbon or Patrick Bonkers. I really can't decide which is better. But I digress... The weather in Fiji had been playing silly ...
Nadi, Viti Levu, Fiji dantheeducator... is great. It starts with an early morning swim- 7:30... to get out to where the Mantarays feed. These are giant sting rays with ...
Nadi, Viti Levu, Fiji stretchy_24... of Iso Lei ever! Arrived at Beachcomber. All the toilets weren't working. It smelled, and it was really touristy. It was a shame that it was such a let down. The atmosphere was **** and there were mice.
We absolutely loved all the islands, it was a fantastic experience, we are just forgetting about Beachcomber - we left early. Getting our flight to LA tonight which we are excited about!! We're crossing the International Date Line as well, which is a new thing for us!! Love you all x

Nadi, Viti Levu, Fiji annaobeirne... worked there were all so kind & friendly, full of smiles & such beautiful people - I was really going to miss it.

I spent my final night of the boat trip on Beachcomber island which is known as the 'party island'. I slept in a dorm of 60 bunk beds & it wasn't all that fun...the other islands were definitely much better!

I went on a sailing boat called 'Seaspray' on my final day round the islands. I said goodbye to the American girls & met back up with ...
Nadi, Viti Levu, Fiji dixie87... we hoped for. Still, we were serenaded off the boat by a group of about 8 very smiley Fijians, plus they had a spare double room for us so all was well. In the evening a little welcome party was held for us 'new arrivals' and we were treated to a traditional dance to a sort of Fijian reggae song, before they insisted that we all join in with own (very bad) versions of the dance. Once they were satisfied that we were sufficiently warmed up it was then time for limbo dancing....apparently ...
Nadi, Viti Levu, Fiji jessjamie... my bag while I was sleeping - yikes! I decided to wait until Auckland to call American Express and was waiting at the gate for our flight. Then I hear a local Fiji gate agent asking for "Step-a-ny Pebbles?" I was standing right there, so I said "I'm Stephanie." After checking my ID, she hands me my credit card! Turns out it fell out when I went through security, someone turned it in (without running up any charges) and she had been looking for me for 3 hours. Classic!
Nadi, Viti Levu, Fiji slpbls... Later we realised that almost every driver did the same and pondered the amounts of litter that must build up on the streets of Fiji over the space of a year. All too soon however the journey was over and we disembarked to the depressing sight of Nadi township. Dirty, tired, expensive and to our eyes, a city lost in squalor and despair. Dour shopkeepers lined the footpaths on both sides of the street sweeping the debris of life into the gutter, whilst ...
