Wagga to Mildura

We had lunch in Balranald by the Murrumbidgee before the last leg of the journey (more long straight roads, 33 heading up to 36 degrees) into Mildura. Lots of grapevines and citrus trees mark the entrance to "Sunraysia country", and we counted down as we passed across the Murray into Victoria. ...

We like Mildura, it is a thriving town with many interesting art deco buildings and a good range of dinning options (eg: Stefanos)......which is very different to what we have been experiencing of late! During the long drives we have talked about our holiday experiences and what we have leant. We have refected on the great times we have had in the Kimberly and Northern Territory with friends, old and new. We have written several "to do" ...
Day 27 - Chowilla SA to Buronga VIC
... The amenities were awesome, the block was almost brand new and there was no shortage of showery hotness. It was a pretty good choice of caravan park. When we got back to the van we enjoyed the view across the water to Mildura. A couple were staying in a houseboat across the river from us and they ran a generator for a while which worried us, but they turned it off after a while. It had been a pretty big day and we were pooped, after a little bit of TV we were kaputted.
