Today's port is Kerkira in Corfu which is the second largest of the Greek islands in the Ionian Sea. The ship docked about 2.5 kilometres from the old town so we hopped into a taxi as it was a bit hot to walk the distance. It is a beautiful town with narrow streets and alleyways and lots of shops - especially clothes shops - which gave The Management plenty of places to visit. Of course, she found some clothes to buy while AJG sat outside and people-watched ...
... covered in slippery moss, so it was hard to keep one's footing.....the water was misleading....it looked glorious and enticing but was freezing cold.....but that did not stop us...or this Canadian couple we met....so all 4 of us went for a swim......by the time we got out and walked back to the boat....we had dried out.......on our way back, found a little Greek restaurant, where we had a Greek salad and moussaka....and a glass of local red wine ( Len had white)...
