... to camp the equipment that could not stay at the mine.

Ray and I were fortunate to witness a Lynx and its young cross the road infront of us.
So wild, so beautiful. However, we saw sadness when the owners quails were killed
by a weasel.

Had guests in the last three weeks. Always nice to see others come .
Val & Danny our family came for a visit to Barkerville for the day. It was great to see them.

Finding every time we get back to camp there are changes. We have past miners we know
that have come for visits only, leave and others come. Then there are miners that are there
for the summer as ourselves. We have family and friends stop for a few days to see what
mining is all about. So nice to see them.
The 2 way radio's Ray talked about are so important. We communicate with the Loggers
coming up or down ...

... etc. We now have everything down at the claim. The weather has been very hot but it
really cools down at night so easy to sleep. Most of all the trailers at camp have air conditioning. The smoke has been very bad the past week. Many forest fires around
which send smoke and ash our way. Some days have kept me in the trailer with air
quality very poor for my asthma. I travel to town when I can to get in a swim ...
