... crossways to slow down the water and materials . This worked great.
Got up one morning and had a flat tire on pickup. Another trip into town..
We are on logging roads so we are using two way radios to communicate with truckers on the way to our claim..
I have built and added a new nugget trap that has a water pipe in it and keeps the rocks and materials boiling as it works.

... it's got to be good so I decided to give it a try. The dish looks a mess and I'm not sure what is in it but, it was a load of French fries, gravy dumped on top, scattered with some sort of cheese crumbles, throw on a handful of fried chicken chunks and top it off with buffalo sauce. Mmmmm...

First two weeks

we have spent the last two weeks clearing roads down to the claim and hauling the equipment down close to the swift river..
what i didnt know was how soft the ground was and the high ground water. I got the bobcat stuck at least twice a day and was hauled out of the mud with the excavator many times. Still a lot of road work to do so we can travel to the mine site with our trucks instead ok atvs and big eguipment.

... squirrel NO that's a joke but we did see a number of squirrels some a bit flat on the roadside and others still quite active. Lillooet was interesting as it was similar looking to some of the country we saw around Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. They apparently have quite mild winters and low rainfall. The country just kept changing as we would climb around hills and mountains then go down steep drops into valleys always creeks ...
