We have been very fortunate to have been left out of the forest fire issues of summer
around us. (so far) On the 15th a major thunderstorm arrived. So far we have had
a total fire ban in our area and will continue through all the rain that is coming our way.

Some days rain is spotty and so it may be dry at our claim but a good dump elsewhere.

... br> plan Ray's mom's 91st birthday, acreage work, and Ray checking in at work to make sure all is well. When we return in July there will be more people arriving at our campsite.
The longshot gold club members will be coming around for functions we attend
each year. It has taken up to a month to get ourselves organized and going but
we now feel things are rolling along nicely.

... that controls the security system.. so we bypassed it and it now it runs great----lost two days work..
We found a good old river channel that we dug on in the last two weeks and will stay on it in the spring.. big rocks and some good looking pay dirt.

what learned???------Don't bring a knife to a gun fight

next year to do list 1---bigger water pond,,,water got too dirty and cost us gold in the sluice box

... the quartz rock and Jonathan's mother Monica for the delicious fresh veg
from home in Alberta which we all shared and enjoyed. Thanks Al and Carol for returning and
bringing us back delicious big tomatoes for all.

Lorraine Doug's wife has now left camp for the birth of a 3rd grandchild. Have a wonderful time with your family. Lorraine I will miss you at camp.

We returned to bc on july 4th.another 10 hour drive. On the 6th we went down to the claim and pulled dougs old 22 foot holiday trailer down the small road we built and on to the work site next to the trommel..
On the monday and tuesday we finished the big holding pond for water that will supply the water to the trommel..set up pumps at the river to fill the pond. i hauled dirt and rocks to make a ramp that the bobcat would ...
